Form III Out and About to Bosworth Battlefield
Linked to their history studies on the Tudors, Form III travelled to Leicestershire on Friday to visit the Bosworth Visitor Centre. Being lucky with the weather, the guided tour of the site was extremely interesting and helped pupils to visualise the scene on 22nd August, 1485 when Henry Tudor beat and killed Richard III. As always, the highlight of the tour was the session with Captain Mortimer, a re-enactor who brings the world of medieval warfare to gruesome life! Following a drill session, (where the girls team beat the boys), we went into the Centre and enjoyed the interactive exhibits on display. Once again, Bosworth proved to be a fantastic trip for Form III pupils.
