U11 Girls enjoy close-fought matches at Felsted

 

Hettie really had the bit between her teeth last weekend over at Felsted and was at the heart of everything, as she has been for much of the season. She played with passion, drive, ferocity and commitment and galvanised the U11A team to one of their best performances of the season, admittedly against a Felsted "B" team. The girls, playing with better shape and with more tactical awareness, enjoyed plenty of possession and forced a string of short corners, but still had to come from behind as Hettie scored both the Barnardiston goals in a close-fought victory (2-1). In addition to being goalscorer, Hettie made telling tackles and interceptions and, supported by one excellent save from 'keeper Ellie, they denied Felsted girls the chance of an equaliser.
