Music and Drama

With several choirs, an orchestra, recorder group and various ensembles, Barnardiston Hall prides itself on its strong musical tradition.

All three choirs have regularly won the Sudbury Music Festival and are frequently requested to perform at various functions throughout the County. The Choir also plays a leading role in the annual drama production which is performed to parents in the Summer Term. With professional lighting and sound, the production is performed to full houses on all three nights.

Visiting peripatetic music and speech and drama teachers provide children with further opportunities to learn a wide range of musical instruments or to develop their public speaking and acting skills and many children take RSCM and LAMBDA examinations.
