Uppingham Orchestral Day
28.02.13
A group of intrepid archeologists set off on an adventure to Uppingham for an annual orchestra day. We had 8 in total, 3 clarinetists, 2 saxophonists, a flute, a violin and a percussionist. We started the day in groups according to our instruments and rehearsed all morning. After lunch, we had another rehearsal followed by the performance. The pieces we played were composed by Tim Watts especially for the 350 students taking part and based on the theme of DINOSAURS. We learnt a lot of what it's like to be in an orchestra and it also helped our sight reading! A fun day out by all! Thank you very much to Mrs Dobson for helping out with the day!
