Remembrance Assembly
On Wednesday, we were delighted to welcome Brigadier Walker again to our assembly. He talked about the meaning of remembrance and the significance of the poppy. He was ably assisted by 'Tommy Atkins' (aka Mr Boudin) who was dressed as a British soldier from World War 2 and, using this example, was able to tell us what a 'Tommy's' life would have been like. Miss Cross and Alys Phillips recited a moving poem about the poppy. This was a great way to introduce our Remembrance theme which will conclude with another special assembly on the 11th. Many thanks again to Brigadier Walker.
