Class 4 had an amazing day out on Friday at Cadbury World. We invented our own chocolate concoctions, found out about how chocolate was invented and made in the past from the Aztecs and Mayans in the jungle through to Samuel Pepys discovering a new drink. Then we learned about the history of Cadbury's and their idea of adding a glass-and-a-half of fresh milk, and the creation of the lovely factory and town in a park - Bourneville. We wrote our names in chocolate and were sprayed with chocolate as shells were made ready to be filled, before seeing advertising through the ages (and splatting chocolates with our feet in an interactive zone).
On the way home, we enjoyed a lovely meal in a restaurant and got back to school very late and very tired, ready for our sleepover. As a result, we slept incredibly soundly and several of us had to be woken up for our lovely cooked breakfast in the morning.
We really enjoyed our camping. Despite it being pretty cold outside, we were very snug under all our layers!
